President’s Message 2021
As we enter the sixty-eighth year of the Garden Club of Mt Tabor, we are called to both reflect and reimagine. We face quickly changing times and extraordinary challenges to the health of our communities and our environment. This year is one of deep listening—both to the Club’s foundational Mission and Values, as well as to the people of Mount Tabor. We hope to inspire a robust and active membership consisting of members well-served and inspired by the Club’s offerings.
Toward this end, we will offer programming that is diverse both in content, but also in timing and format, allowing opportunities for increased participation. We will strengthen the structures that hold the Club together, especially our communication and outreach strategies. This will ensure the legacy of the Club not only by assisting future leadership, volunteers, and members, but also by growing membership and reaching out to the larger Mount Tabor community.
We share a beautiful community with treasured human and plant resources. This year, we will learn about, share, and celebrate these resources. We will ensure the seeds we plant flourish and continue to inspire a love of gardening, community, and the protection of our natural resources, especially those unique to Mt. Tabor.
Thank you to the members who have served and fostered the Mt. Tabor Garden Club through the years. We are a legacy institution in our community with a historical perspective to anchor it and skills and experience to serve it.
Please join actively with the board and committees as we endeavor to reinvigorate our place of service to the Mount Tabor community this year.
