Pollinator Pathway

You may notice new signs along St. Peters Rd near the intersection with Morris Ave: Pollinator Pathway in Progress!

As part of our efforts to restore biodiversity and protect our existing natural resources, we’ve been removing invasive plants in this area. That includes: Wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius) , Japanese knotweed (Reynoutria japonica), Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata), and Japanese stiltgrass (Microstegium vimineum).

Cutleaf Coneflower (Rudbeckia lacinata)

We have been replanting with native species such as Cutleaf Coneflower (Rudbeckia lacinata) and Goldenrod (Solidago rugosa). We will continue to seed the area and hope to have a street lined with beautiful blooms that will support our native birds and insects as well as restore soil health and help prevent the infestation of more damaging plants.
